Andy brings over 30 years of global energy experience, having served as Managing Director at BG Group Europe (now part of Shell) and as Chief Executive of the North Sea Transition Authority. Awarded a CBE for services to the Energy Industry, he has led major transformations across commercial and government organisations, navigating complex political environments and driving strategic growth. As Chair, Andy helps guide Haldane Energy’s direction and supports the business as it scales into development.

Executive Director of Haldane Energy and Co-Founder of Windward Energy. With over a decade spent launching and scaling new energy businesses, he brings experience in building teams, securing partnerships and progressing complex projects. Lawson previously worked in corporate finance advisory, as well as the UK commercial real estate sector before transitioning into energy. His focus is on leading the business into the development phase, growing an industry-leading team, and helping accelerate the UK’s transition to a more secure power system.

With over 25 years’ experience in the UK energy sector, including leading business development at Siemens Energy, Wes specialises in project design, feasibility and early-stage development. He works closely with industry partners to deliver pre-FEED and FEED studies and build supply chain capability for H₂-LDES technology. Wes brings vast commercial and technical expertise and a proven track record of shaping complex projects as they progress towards large-scale delivery.

Anna has over 15 years’ experience in the UK energy sector, having led renewable energy infrastructure projects through development from consenting to financial close. Specialising in project management, she is also a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with a PhD in UK power system modelling and energy storage. As Head of Projects, Anna oversees planning and delivery across the portfolio, managing timelines, partners and technical workstreams. She ensures projects progress efficiently from early-stage development through to execution.

With over a decade of experience as a land specialist across the energy and water sectors, Gareth has worked with ScottishPower, Scottish Water and Galbraith. He brings strong expertise in land access, property negotiations and landowner engagement. As Head of Land, he leads site identification, landowner engagement and the securing of key agreements required for project development, ensuring projects will progress on time. 

Ben has experience supporting land and property management in the utilities sector, having previously worked at Blackhall & Powis. He holds a Master’s degree in Environment and Sustainable Development, with a focus on planning and land use. Ben supports site identification, landowner engagement and due-diligence activities across Haldane Energy’s projects, working closely with the Head of Land to progress agreements and maintain strong relationships throughout early-stage development.

Integral to business development activities across Haldane Energy, leading commercial workstreams and driving engagement with external stakeholders. She previously worked at abrdn and holds a degree in Economics, bringing strong analytical and financial insight to the team. Her work includes market analysis, opportunity assessment and commercial planning, helping to shape the early development of H₂-LDES projects and inform strategic decisions as the company grows.
